Our West Concord studio is led by New England native and Senior Designer Taylor A Crockett. An illustrator as well as jeweler, Taylor is passionate about translating your stories into wearable art. From the first spark of an idea to the final polished piece, Taylor provides a personalized, one-on-one experience to ensure your jewelry is as unique as who and what it represents.

Our Story

Why West Concord?

If you’re wondering how and why a jewelry company 3,000-some-odd miles away in Seattle Washington, found its way to historic Massachusetts, you’re not alone!

Established in 2009 by Jamie Jockwig, Baraka Gems’ Seattle showroom remained the one and only intended location for 16 years. Taylor (now Senior Designer and head of Baraka Gem’s east coast design studio) joined Baraka in 2020 as Studio Assistant, slowly growing the custom design department. Over the course of more than 6 years of working together, Taylor (Connecticut native and former resident of Northampton, MA) made the choice to move back home to the Northeast. On a scouting road trip across the Northeast in 2025, we all fell in love with West Concord for its beautiful historic preservation, vibrant small business community, appreciation for history, and support of the arts.

After 12 years in the Pacific Northwest, West Concord feels like a wonderful familiar homecoming, and we’re so excited to be a part of the community.
